Help with upgrade

hey

I have a Dell Dimension 4600 Series and I would like some help with upgrading this system. I am mainly looking at getting some memory, more storage and maybe a new video card. At present I have 512 RAM (dual-in-line memory module, 256, 400M, 32X64, 8K, 184) don't know much about the stuff in the brackets. My video card is a NVIDIA Geforce FX 5200, 128MB. For the hard drive I need to figure out if I need IDE or SATA, but don't know how to. Dell has given little info. when I tried to access their site to see what parts I have so I can go to a cheaper source to upgrade. If anyone can help I would be grateful.
