Help with upgrade please.

I am posting this here because the MB seems to be my biggest issue right now. Well and ram. Anways i want to do an upgrade right now with $1500 US. I know i want the EVGA 8800GTX and E6600. But im having troubles picking a MB and ram. Id like some of that Micron D9 ram 2GB.

If you guys have $1500 US and you needed a MB, RAM (2GB), Video Card, and CPU what would you be buying?

Thanks gurus!

The 8800 and e6600 will comsume about $900 of your budget. That leaves about $600 for the board, memory, and power supply. I recommend the gigabyte 965p board for around $130. I would check gigabyte's website for recommended memory. For the power supply, I would get a 550-600 watt unit. Antec, enermax, seasonic, or pc power and cooling should all work fine. Expect to spend $100-125 for any decent ps. You'll need it for the video card.

I just spent about $1K on my kit, and went with the Antec True Power Trio 430. Paid $64.99 from buy.com with Google checkout. This is a re-branded Seasonic which is quiet and efficiency is 85% versus 70% on the one you suggest. Better efficiency also means less heat. I live in Florida and don't need more heat.

Is there any reason you feel the need for the E6600 as opposed to the 6400. With the video card I'm guessing that gaming is high on your list.
