blackrod has $500 to spend and would like to know which upgrade route blackrod should take.

currently blackrod has a a64 4000+, 1gb ram, dfi nforce4 sli, 7800gt x2, audigy 2zs, 19in samsung lcd, maxtor 300gb x2, wd raptor 74gb, and nec dvd-rw/cd-rw.

I like how you talk about yourself in third person.

Sell your two gt s and get an 8800? Maybe a sell your 1 gig of ram and get a 2 gig kit? How about a bigger monitor?

Your system is already very fast. Might as well wait another year or so before you upgrade.

blackrod is thinking this may be the more prudent course of action. unless anybody else has some intriguing upgrade ideas, blackrod will probably wait for a while before upgrading.
