right now, i'm working on a computer that is very odd. First of all, the lithium battery was dead and i had to replace it, the mobo is 2 months old. next, every once in a while, the video feed to the monitor goes out and the card has to be reseated for it to work. i have come up with some hypothesis and would like to know your opinion about them and\or any other help that you could provide me. thanks for you time
1. the owner of the computer has an old house and no surge protector, the resulting power fluctutations would cause this to happen.
2. the dead lithium battery was causing the IRQs to be constantly reset and this would cause conflicts to occur that would knock out the video
3. just a plain IRQ conflict that is causing the malfunction
4. the video card is bad and the only choice left is to change the video card.
