Help with unlocking 960t

I think my 960t is completely locked as quad unless I have done something wrong.

memory timings I never touched put them at AUTO, it's Vengeance XMS3 2x4GB so in total 8GB

I tried disabling 5th or 6th core and save bios, screen just goes dark and fans blow really hard.
Once power off on power on pc it says Unleashind mode failed.

I have a similar board, the m4a89, and the latest bios prevented me from achieving an unlock/overclock. When I flashed to the 2nd-to-latest bios, then I could unlock/overclock fine. Granted, ASUS identified the latest bios as a beta, but their windows update utility did not identify the bios as a beta version so I installed it without knowing it was beta.

Even if the latest bios you are using is not beta, maybe try flashing to an earlier version and see if that will help (assuming the earlier version still supports your CPU).
