help with TV convergence...

My roommate owns an AKAI PT4799HD 47" HDTV rear projection TV that he bought from costco 4 months ago for 900. there seems to be a problem with the blue convergence and was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this on their TV. how could i go about fixing this? It is still covered under parts but not labor, the technitian that came to see it said that labor alone would cost 200 bucks.. any suggestions? thanks.
