Hey there!
I bought a Pinnacle PCTV pro but im having a hard time with the software included, it keeps crashing and freezing, soemtimes i lose the sound, others i lose the image.. it sucks!
Any suggestion how to solve this, any good software outhere?
Im with a Asus A7N8X and a GF4 Ti4200 processor and Ram are good enough.

I picked up one of these and returned it.

It killed my computer...I mean majorly messed it up. Blue screens of death, corrupted partitions on hard drive... took card out, and it was fine.
 
Perhaps try the card in different PCI slots. It might be having a conflict with another device in its current location. Also, look on line for the newest drivers.
 
My advice, throw this POS as far as you possibly able. You can try
Dscaler and for recording--powervcr. Getting this card to
work (if it works at all) is more trouble than its' worth. Checkout the
Pinnacle forum for further suggestions; just don't expect any help from
technical support.
