Help with Turning Windows Media Center off!

Brand new computer (3 days old).
Windows 7 HP. SP1.
Only updates installed were windows auto-updates.

For no reason, at random intervals, Windows Media Center service auto-starts up.
I went through MSCONFIG and disabled it.
I also disabled it via Component Services. (Not set it to manual, DISABLED it. )

WMC still auto-starts up.

Most commonly when I am playing a game WMC starts up.

Anyone?
