Help with trouble shooting low o/c

Ok, ive got a p3 750(not sure what stepping). I can get the fsb up to 119(stabily). But when i go to 120, the system either halts before posts @1.7V, but will almost boot into windows at 1.8V. This is starting to get to me, im thinking its either the cpu just wont go any higher or one of my pci, video cards, because at 119:119:39 its ok, but when it gets to 120:120:40 it screws up. Anyway, any ideas/help would be appreciated, system specs as follows:

P3-750@892
Asus Cusl2-c
Western dig. 10gb 7200rpm
Geforce 256 SDR
CL 128 PCI s/c
PCI 56k modem(im not exactly sure of the specs im not on my comp right now)
128mb pc133 Infineon

If im leaving anything out, let me know, thanks

You didn't say what HSF you're using. You could try 1.85v or 1.9v if your mobo supports it. I have run 2 cb0 P3's with an Alpha PEP66 at 1.9v and they actually didn't run too hot.

Does your motherboard have a separate I/O voltage setting (default usually 3.3V). This voltage is for the motherboard itself, affecting ram/pci/agp.

When you overclock the FSB, this sometimes needs increasing by a volt or two in order to make the AGP, PCI and ram more stable by reducing noise on the motherboard.

Helps some people, but as already mentioned you may have either reached the limit of your chip or exceeded some cards limits.

Oh yea, ive tryed voltages up to 1.95, no go, and i am also using the alpha pep66. I know nothing about an i/o voltage, so I guess its at default. Thank for u guys help, just reinforced my theory. Im going to sell this chip and get a 700e probably. thanks

Did you try jumping PAST 120 fsb? I've got a 750 running at 124 fsb (930MHz) @ 1.75v with no problem...but that's definately as fast it will go. If it's a cB0 stepping, based on Intel's info, the highest they took it was 933MHz, so I'm satisfied with 930.

Yup, ive messed with it quite a bit, i really dont think it is going to go any further. I put my brother's GTS in here and it did the same thing, so I know its not the v/c.
