~~Help with topic for persuasive speech~~

This speech is my final grade so I want something Bold. Thought of death penalty but it is so over used. Cannot do abortion teachers hate it. What do you all think?😕 Anyone have a good one? PM me details if you have one I can look at that is Bold. no I don't want you to do it for me just want a few lines or a source on why your idea is the best. 😀

heck this is OT people always have an opinion.

I've used this persuasive speech topic and it always turns heads: Caning in America (as in the form of corporal punishment that Singapore uses). There's tons of material on it because several senators have proposed this before. Also, you can compare and contrast the crime statistics of Singapore compared to USA and see that something is drastically different. When your classmates and teacher hear about the idea of whacking a naked person with split bamboo rod, they will cringe. You can describe the caning process to them in detail...it's pretty terrifying (as is why it is a HUGE crime deterrent in Singapore). Also, you can talk about the Michael Fay (sp?) case a few years back. He was the US kid who graffitied in Singapore, got caught, and was caned. However, Clinton stepped in and asked for a reduction of his number of whacks (was reduced from 6 to 4, I think). I guarantee you no one else in your class will think of this topic.

Never heard of Caning... be great for the power point! Naked people! then again blood might turn the teacher off...

keep them coming 😀

You could do a persuasive speech on National ID cards or some type of National ID for everyone. Lots of info on that since September 11.
