Hey, I've posted some of my songs on here before and you guys have given me some great honest feedback. I recorded this song earlier this week in my basement and would like some of your thoughts on it. Is it any good? is it mixed well? Do my vocals suck? should i quit music all together ?!

I'm not keen on the electronic stuff and the electronic voice echo/weirdness at the start is a bit tacky but other than that I like it 😀

Agreed. The beginning sounds like Def Leppard intros.

Not a bad thing. And I agree, it was Def Leppardish (the intro, not the song). Pretty cool.
 
The instrumental was good. The vocals aren't my thing, but you have good pitch. A little too emo for my tastes, but if that's what you were going for...WINNAR!
 
Sounds good.

Something is making me feel like it leans to the right, but can't quite put my finger on it. I think it the shaker. Maybe send it to a mono verb hard panned (with a slight delay) to the left? Dunno. got a killer headache right now, so it's probably all in my head.

I don't think it was that emo myself.

I'm glad I'm not losing my mind, it's already been a rough day, and it's not even noon!
 
um not a huge fan of the vocals...i mean, it's just not my thing. sorta sounds like whispering and dry. the instruments are cool. it almost sounds like the vocalist (you?) is afraid of what he really sounds like and is keeping it hushed to hide something.

just my opinion...
 
To be honest, I don't like it. It's not my kind of music, and I don't like it. No offense, though 🙂.

Judging from what people here say that DO like that kind of music, you did a good job, so :thumbsup:.

I actually kinda like that. The vocals could be a bit...different (don't you love how specific I am 😛)...but other than that, good job!! :thumbsup:
 
I really like the music, but your voice isn't really my style. I pretty much agree with robothouse77; it almost sounds like you're holding back, or something. But yeah. Instrumental part = thumbs up! I really like the strings.
 
I didn't download and listen to the song just to hate on you, so take my word as just an opinion.

- It sounds like it isn't your natural singing voice and you are trying to sound like that (breathy, low and brooding).
- It is not really a genre I listen to much (I can imagine the song as an American Idol winner's first single) but it definitely is a lot better than most pop/contemporary music out there. Good job!
- This is just my personal opinion but the words "They are in my head" sound like they would go better with a nu-metal song.
- Overall, very good song with just the above things that kinda stuck out to me.
 
Sometimes the vocals sound a little too low and the lyrics get a bit repetitive. Not bad though, I did enjoy it.
