Got it for 20$ :) It's a Digital 17"er.. apparently made by Sony..

Digital Model Number: VRH6-DA
Sony Model Number: GDM-1660

Manufactured April, 1991..

It uses BNC connectors, I believe. You plug into like 4 seperate color coded connectors on the back. The other end of the cable appears like it would go into a regular VGA connector, but it does not. It's missing the middle row of pins- It would fit into a 9-pin serial port... ;) What do I need to plug it in? A video card with Digital Out or something?

Any information on this monitor would be appreciated, I already checked Sony and Digital's site.. I couldn't find anything..

Manufactured 1991? Man, I thought my NEC MultiSync 3D (manufactured 1994) was old!

Anyway, that sounds proprietary.

There's a possiblity that there may be a specifically-manufactured video card that'll accomodate that monitor.

It's a fixed-frequency monitor. Not a bad price for the thing.

I would check w/whomever you bought it from to see if they have the corresponding video adapter.

If not, check the link above for your monitor specs and purchasing info on cables, cable adapters, or a compatible video board.

A BNC cable should be able to plug into a normal VGA port without any problem, at least all the BNC cables ive every used. Not sure if ones made for fixed frequency monitors are different.

Hmm.. It's fixed frequency huh... So does that mean it needs a special video card? ... We were thinking of just buying a new BNC-VGA cable for it... Hmm...
