Here is what im considering getting:

Intel Core2 Quad Q6700
Intel® Desktop Board DG33TL Media Series
Windows Vista* Home Premium Edition
-$249

Note: Of these three things, the only thing that I will use is the processor. I will most likely sell the motherboard and Vista.

ABIT IP35 Pro LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - $165 AR

EVGA 768-P2-N831-AR GeForce 8800GTX Superclocked 768MB 384-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - $529 AR

CORSAIR CMPSU-620HX ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 620W Power Supply - $139 AR

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model BL2KIT12864AA804 - $49.99 AR

SAMSUNG Black 1.44MB 3.5" Internal Floppy Drive Windows 98SE/ ME/ 2000/ XP - OEM - $6.99

Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 Black - $31.99

2x SAMSUNG 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe Black SATA Model SH-S203N - OEM - $71.98

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series Sound Card - Retail - $114.99 AR

Samsung - 22" Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD Monitor - 226CW - $359.99 + Employee discount

75GB Raptor WD 10k RPM HD - Already have

Western Digital - 1TB Internal Hard Drive - $349.99 + Employee discount

Antec P180B Case - $129.99

Total Price (AR, but before BB employee discount): $2067.92

My budget <$2000. I am sure the price will be below $2000 after I calculate my BB discount in... I will check those prices tomorrow when I go into work.

So, how is the comp looking? Am I forgetting anything? I have the 1 TB HD for storage, games, etc etc, while my Raptor will be for Windows and other essentials.

Please give me some contructive criticism. This is the first build of this computer, so I'm sure that it has a long way to go before its perfect!

Thanks!

Brilliant choice for the mouse, just thought I'd mention. I'm glad MS re-released the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0, it's a quality model. I still have my 5-year old one at home, though after all this time the scroll wheel is getting a bit sticky. Still, pretty good shelf life if you ask me.

In other news, you may do well to wait until January for new tech releases and for the prices do go down a little after the christmas build-up.
