Hi!
I need a electric motor to power the grinder. My friend gave me his grinder. But it is without a motor.

Please, can you provide me with the specifications?
I have never purchased the motors, that is why I ask.

thanks guys!

What grinder?

This.

New grinders are relatively inexpensive unless it's a very high-end one...in which case finding an OEM motor will be virtually impossible and unlikely to be much cheaper than a new one. Grinders are pretty simple animals so the motor is going to be a very large percentage of the overall cost.

If you are talking about a bench grinder, I am confused, as 90% of the tool is the motor, and wondering if your friend gave you a pile of shields and abrasive wheels.

If you are talking about a handheld grinder, I am confused, because the motors are integrated into the case/handle, and not something you replace off the shelf. Wondering if your friend gave you some garbage.

If you are just talking about brushes on either of these induction motors, then that is less confusing.
