i'm using win XP pro and encounter some problems with the media player. In some movies, no sound comes out. What other codecs do i need to install? Btw, the player takes very long to download the necessary codecs. How come?

I'm assuming that you have the latest version of Media Player? If not download that and see what happens. If you do, try downloading it again and installing a fresh one.
