Help with system build

I was thinking of getting X700Pro PCI-E card for my system build, I will be running it on a DFILanParty NF4 UT-D, with 1GB Corsair Value Ram (Ram suggestions helpfull too) and AMD64 3500 Venice Chip, Question is, will that video card be enough to run HL2, CSS, DOD, Age of Empire 2, WOW (Those are all the games I play) this is my first sys build, and though its being fun so far, I don't want to make the mistake of buying a X700 if I really need the X800 series.

It'll easily be enough, but the 6600GT is the same price and quite a bit faster.

So is it worth the extra 100-200 for the X800XL or X800XT than?

Even a 9600xt will be enough to run these games. But I think a 6600GT for $160 or so will be a good bang for the buck and i'd pick it over 700 series.

An X800XL would be worth it for HL2/CSS.

get a 6800 gt if you want to pay for it, i prefer it over x800 since pixel shader 3, and its better in general. but a 6600 gt is so damn good for its price and it is a very decent card.
