Help with Sygate Personal Firewall

Well, I placed Sygate firewall due to the high recomendations that comes from with this website amoung others.

My problem is sites like Hotmail and Snapfish, ones that my wife uses, do not work for some reason with this firewall. What do I do?

THere are settings for "advanced rules" but looks like a bunch of mumbo jumbo to me. It wants IP addresses and such and I just know the webpage name; I have a sneaking suspicion this is what I would need to enable to allow certain pages to work, but I would need a detailed walkthrough on how to do it.
