Hi everybody. I think I was lucky enough to stumble on this forum, as I need some help from someone with hands-on expertise on this matter.

I need a cam! And I got certain requirements for it:

a) Hidden cam! Therefore needs to be small enough as to not draw attention.

b) Quality video recording capability. Don't care whether 720p or 1080p - just good quality. E.g. being able to capture at least some facial characteristics of a potential intruder from say 10-15 feet.

c) Motion activation. Video rec should initiate when someone enters within a 20 feet range. Hopefully not too trigger happy either (i.e. birds), as this will drain the battery. Location is a small cottage with plenty of wildlife around it.

d) Portable power source. Area I want to install, has no power socket nearby. Battery should be good enough to allow for a 2-3hr continuous recording. And plenty more standby (if idle!)

e) Don't need a full on IP67 device, but some moderate humidity tolerance would be nice.

Now, I have done some research on my own and found the following:

Titathink TT522PW-B
PHYLINK PLC-128PW
ePathChina 500 Mega Pixel Smallest Button Pinhole Spy Video Camera
WiseupTM 1080P HD Hidden Camera Button Camcorder

First two seem like a reputable/reliable brand. But they lack motion detection and don't have a portable battery option. The third one lacks motion detection. The last one has it all. Except reliability. Amazon reviews seem staged as a significant number of voters claims it failed to deliver what it promises on paper.

So I am asking you guys for a hint. Are there any other solutions (brand/model?) that meet my criteria above? Price up to 300 bucks...

Cheers

Jas

You are asking for a lot. I don't think there is anything from a reputable company unfortunately.
