HELP with STEAM

for some reason steam just decided to stop working. i double clicking the icon does nothing, and tyring to play CS:S i get a box saying cant find steam.exe

last week it worked fine....now it doesnt work at all.

Right click on your icon or whatever you use to open steam, hit "Properties" then check where the target is pointing. Track down that folder in Windows Explorer and see if steam.exe is actually there. Or even the folder.

I've moved files around accidentally, you may have done that.

If you loaded it from a cd (HL2) you might be able to copy steam.exe off the install disc (don't have mine handy otherwise I'd check).

If you DL'd from steam, follow these instructions to install a new version.

yes it appears steam.exe is no longer there...........odd

dont think you can get it off the disc, will try though, thanks

I corrupted Steam on my old system....

I just reloaded it here from Valve.
