Need some help with stats, if anyone can help me that would be awesome...

In our book we have a chart that shows the level of confidence,c, and the result value of Zc, for example. .80 C = 1.28Zc or .95C = 1.96Zc However some problems give us a value of C that is not on the chart. How can I figure this out?
 
What value of C do you get that's not on the chart? When using the t distribution, if you have a degree of freedom not on the chart, you're supposed to use the closest, higher value. I bet you need to do the same.
 
our book only has .80, .90 .95 and .99 for values of C and one of the problems ask for a .96 and .97 value of C
 
What kind of statistical test are you doing? For example, your Z value for .95c is only for a two-tailed test.

.96C = 2.05Z
.97C = 2.17Z

both assuming two-tailed test
