Help with Star Wars movies..

So I never watched any Star Wars, originals, new ones, none. I know, now your questioning how it is I belong here. In earth that is. Well I was wondering if you can help me pick the first one to watch, or the actual order to watch them. How many are there anyway?

Watch them 456 then 123, as they came out.

hope you are kidding, but in case you are not here are my suggestions

1. start with phantom menace, then go to attack of the clones, (clone wars animated) then revenge of sith, then starwars new hope, empire strikes back, and finally return of jedi.

2. if you sorta know the storyline then you can start the way everybody else watched them, new hope, empire, return of jedi followed by phantom, clone, and sith.

You could do that, or you could watch them like most older Star Wars fans watched them. I guess since 123 are not as good as 456 (director-wise), you could watch those first.

Seriously, though, watch them in the order they came out (4,5,6,1,2,3).

Agreed. 456 won't be as good if you watch 123 first.

That was a working title of Return of the Jedi, but obviously arch messed that one up.

"Episode 4" is correctly called "Star Wars". That whole, "New Hope" thing is for the weenies who think the saga matters. Lucas lost all credibility when he invented Jar Jar.

well if he has not been spoiled in the storyline at all, then i think 123 first might be a sweet start for plot/storyline sake.

I agree...456 then 123. There are just certain things you miss if you watch them in order for the first time ever.

If Lucas made "Star Wars" today, he would EFF it up in a big way. Sure, it would have orgasmic special effects, but they would replace the all that was good about the first one. It's impossible to prove, but it would suck ass and I bet Jar Jar would be in it somehow...

Episode IV: A New Hope (Star Wars)
Episode V: Empire Strikes Back
Episode VI: Return of the jedi

Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Episode II: Attack of the Clones
Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Then watch a better series of movies...

III.) The search for Spock
IV.) The voyage home
VI.) The undiscovered Country
