Help with SSL on IIS5 server

Ok, I got my website all working...installed M$ Certificate Authority service component...processed the cert...now my website is sooooooo slow

Does anyone have experience setting up SSL on IIS5?

With all due respect, I know this is probably the last thing you want to hear but why are you even wasting your time with IIS?

Go with apache....and avoid all the complications and headaches that come with IIS!

And no...you don't NEED a linux box to run apache. There is a windows version too....if that's all you have.

whats so good about apache? i use iis 5.0 on win2k pro. it works fine at

im gonna try to download apache, it just gives me an FTP with a whole bunch of directories. do i just donwload all of those? i cant get IIS FTP to work tho...:\
