how do I get my amd xp 1700 to run right on my soyo SY-k7v dragon plus? it keeps
showing that it is at 1100 when I boot up.

i guess i could clarify 🙂

the 1700+ is actually 1466mhz, it gets 1466 by having a default multiplier if 11... so you get 11x133=1466mhz

if you have it running on a 100mhz fsb you will get 11x100=1100mhz
 
thank you, i will try that as soon as i get my windows xp working right... i know this is the wrong forum, but is there a way to erase windows xp from bios?
 
I think that you have to run fdisk and then repartition your harddrive to get rid of windows, but i am running 98se so i cannot really tell you how to do it for XP.
