Help with Sony LCD TV

Hello,

I have a Sony 23" LCD TV (Model KLV-23M1). For whatever reason I cannot get the HDMI port to recognize any signal, or at least the WDTV-Live box I hooked up to it, or the signal from the GEFORCE 8400GS graphics card that I have a DVI-HDMI cable running from it.

The interesting thing is that under the NVIDIA control panel for the graphics card, the TV is recognized (e.g. Sony TV), however the screen on the actual TV is blank.

The Sony TV only goes up to 1080i, so possibly it won't display anything above 1080i, however I'm not certain that's the problem.

Just hoping for some other thoughts, guidance. I thought that maybe trying to have the TV recognize the signal from the graphics card might be a stretch, but I thought at the very least hooking up the WDTV-Live box would be a sure-thing as it's a direct hookup (HDMI port on the WDTV-Live box to the HDMI port on the Sony TV), but still no picture/image.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Take care

as poofy said. was going to say same thing. TV may say it will do 1080i but not really. From what op listed tv is 1366x768 so only 720p for tv.
