Help with Sony Bravia 1080p TV and HDMI PC connection

I have been using my 32 inch bravia as my monitor using a vga connector with no problems. I recently got my hands on an HDMI cable and decided to try it out, but am having issues.

The picture has black bars around the edges (maybe a half inch on the sides, a quarter inch on the top and bottom), and the displayed image is of course pretty terrible looking seeing as it's diplaying a 1080p resolution on a set of pixels that is slightly less than that.

Specs:
TV: Sony Bravia XBR 32" 1080, 120hz refresh

Graphics Card: Radeon HD 4890

Using Win7.

Thanks for the help.

I believe it's an issue with the TV settings and not the computer, as it happens in Ubuntu as well.

I had a similar issue with my Vizio 42" 1080P -- open the Catalyst Control Center and look for an option in there for overscan/underscan. My default setting was underscan...I brought the setting up to 100% and now everything is fine.
