Help with Soldier of Fortune?

On my old system this game worked fine but on my new one when I go to start the game I get nothing but a black screen and have to reset, this is a copied CD but like I said it worked on the old system(HP 4445).

Have you tried other 3D applications/games? This could be a dispaly adapter driver issue. I have encountered this with other games. Try changing your display adapter to "Standard Display Adapter" then enter Safe Mode when you reboot. Go into Device Manager and remove any other display adapters. When you reboot into normal mode Windows will redetect your display adapter and prompt to update driver. If the driver is in the correct place Windows may automatically update it. If not cancel the Update Wizard and install your driver cd after Windows finishes booting. Then restart and select your settings. Will provide more detail(s) if needed.
