Help with sleep question.

Whats the best thing to do to fall alseep very fast and wake up ready to go.

And I know getting more sleep works but I haven't been able to do that for the past few days and its pissing me off.

don't eat before going to bed... digestion keeps the body active and makes it more difficult to sleep. on the other hand... having a glass of water before bed really helps me out. I guess you don't really digest water...

no caffiene before bed helps,but actually its more like no caffiene after 7:00 or so...depending on when u go to bed.:)

Absolute best thing to do is exercise some time during the day. If you take up some sort of cardio or weight lifting program, I guarantee it'll knock you out by bedtime. Sex'll also work. :D

I suffer from insomnia. Last night I went to bed at 10pm and woke up at 1:30am. I never got back to sleep.

I usually indulge in non-sexual fantasies. If you are a musician, imagine playing in front of a packed stadium. Like guns? Imagine being a commando. You get the idea. It distracts the mind long enough to slow down and stop thinking of what went on today and what is going to happen tomorrow.

Cool your room down if you can; IIRC, your body temp has to drop a bit in order for you to nod off. I find I sleep much more soundly in a nice, cool room.

That is why you have insomia. ;)

Seriously, a glass of milk usually does the deed for me. But since I'm a poor college student who can't afford milk, usually hours of reading will do the trick.

I'll have to second that. It's one of the only things that can quiet my mind, and I find that w/o it I always have difficulty falling asleep.

These seems to be good suggestions.

Here are some reply's
I. I Don't drink any caffine after dinner

2.I will be moving in with my g/f at the end of this month so that sex b4 bed sounds more obtainable. (To bad my heart starts going pretty good but then I just drop off)

3.Need to quit the late snacks anyway.

4. Whats an OTC drug?

5. I Don't drink beer period.

So any other good over the counter cures?

Actually, why do you even care. It takes me an hour to get mentally sharp, but it doesn't matter b/c it takes an hour to get to work.

Dude I wouldn't ask if I didn't care

I prefer to fall asleep when I go to bed not just lay there for a few hours.
