Help with Shuttle Mobo

Just got a Shuttle AB60R to house my current components in. Now here's the issue:

I have 4 GB of memory in there. Nothing special, just Crucial 3200 ram. Now here's the kicker- it only shows up as 3.5GB and the sticks are good. When swapped into the other slots or any combo of slots with 3 sticks, shows up as 3GB. As soon as you add the forth, it shows up as 3.5GB.

Also, the memory shows up as DDR266 (PC2700). This is also a mystery to me as you dont even get the option to set to 3200 or DDR400.

Mobo supports what I have (supposedly). Any ideas?

The 3.5GB is kind of a limitation. You can find similar threads about other boards (recently one about a Gigabyte socket 939 board) that exhibit the same behavior. Regardless, if you are using Windows XP you wouldn't be able to use the whole amount anyways.

DDR266 is PC2100. That is strange. Does it do the same thing if you have only two sticks in?

it does it no matter how many sticks I put in... Always shows as PC2100/DDR266. So basically I cant use 4GB? can you point me in the right direction about this limitation issue?

Yes, basically 4GB useable RAM is out of the question. As for why motherboard is not letting you run RAM at higher speeds, dunno. Perhaps check the RAM with CPU-Z to find out what the SPD is set for.
