Help with setting up old card - TNT2 16MB

All,

This is strictly for 2D stuff: DVD playback, video editing, etc. What drivers should I use for a "TNT2 Model 64, 16MB"? My problems now are that my monitor won't go into standby/hibernate mode unless I uninstall the nvidia drivers, but then DVD playback stutters horribly.

WinXP
Athlon XP 2200+
512 MB ram

Thanks,
-Brett.

So you are saying that with the LATEST nv drivers your monitor is unable to go into hybernation?
- make sure they are the latest drivers and not some drivers that came with the card.

I tried using "66.93_win2kxp_english.exe" and those prevented my monitor from hibernating/stand by. I just uninstalled them, rebooted, and now my monitor will shut off.

Strangely enough, my DVD playback seems to be better now (through PowerDVD), but playing back an AVI file stutters badly through WMP10 or Winamp 5.

Thoughts?
