- Maxtor 13 gig hdd (installed, master on promise ata66 card)
- 2 Maxtor 20 gig hdds (not installed wanna do raid, hotrod raid card)
The 13 gig has 2 partitions, 1 gig witch windows 2000 is installed, and 12 gigs for everything else.
No heres where i get lost. I want 1 partition on the raid setup when i am done, and i want that 1 partition to be the 2 partitions from the 13 gig. I was first going to use PM (partition magic) and merge the 2 partitions, then copy to raid, then make the 1 partition bigger. But! i can't get pm to work with w2k, its the win98 ver, i also tried using it in dos, but i can't get that to work either. I don't want to go buy partition magic for w2k. When i try using it in dos it boots up as 'ez bios has been detected, please boot up ez bios then boot up pm'. Ez bios is the defalt booting program for windows 2000 right?? I did f8 when booting but theres nothing there that can help me... so now i could use some ideas... does any one know how to use pm in dos with w2k...... or if you have a better idea plz lmk
And if someone wanted to sell me a copy of pm for w2k... i would do that also....
