I need help with setting up 4 monitors I have an older computer with a vga output only with the old style pci slots what dual vga video card out there will work.do i use 1 dual card with a 4 way spiltter or add 2 dual cards in the the pci slots

Probably this comes down to a cost analysis on used parts.

I would not be surprised if it costs less to abandon your old computer and start over with a more recent system, but I'm not sure about pricing on old PCI video cards?

If you are in the Washington DC area, I'd suggest hitting up a thrift store called Unique Thrift store, they have lots of computer parts you can rummage through and that's probably cheapest way.

When I hooked up three monitors in the old days I used two separate video cards. The more powerful had supported two monitors, the weaker just supported one.
