Help with "Save Picture As" setting with IE5.0

I use Win98 on my system.

Recently, for some unknown reason, whenever I try to save a graphic file from a web page (usually a .jpg or .gif format, the only option I am getting when I right click, then hit "save picture as" is to save the file in a .BMP format.

Before I could save in whatever file format the graphic was in. Any idea what has went wrong and how I can correct it? I have checked all my file associations and everything appears ok.

I do use Vue Print 7.6c, Pro32 as my viewer. I also have ACDSee ver.3 on my system, but Vue Print is the default viewer. I checked their settings and nothing seems out of the ordinary.
