Help with Sata with ACHI XP install.

Hi guys,

I read alot of post and the process seems very straight forward.
Im running a e6600 on a p5w dh with with 1305 bios. Im trying to install 2x raptors in a non-raid.

I checked the ide config in bios to enable achi, Im a little confused why the bios reads my sata drives as third ide master and third ide slave and my dvd drive as a primary ide slave. and no primary master.

anyhoo, I made a floppy with Floppy Configuration Utility - Intel® Matrix Storage Manager. and to do the boot up, I did the f6 to add 34d party scisi for xp install, but when I press A to access the floppy, i get a another message to insert a manufactuer supplied harware support disk. Is that not the Floppy Configuration Utility - Intel® Matrix Storage Manager? it cant be a boot disk for xp since I dont have it installed to make one.

I'm also questioning whether my a:\ works? I think I did it right. The bios reads it so it should be functioning right?

I would appreciate any help. This is my first comp build solo, since i can finally afford componets with out hand me downs.

Thanks.

is this the right drivers for the scisi third party support disk xp is asking for?
JMicron JMB36X RAID Controller Driver V1.09.04.00 for Windows 2000/XP(WHQL)/2003 & 64bit XP(WHQL)/2003?

its the only one I see on the asus site for the p5w dh under raid utils?
