Help with SATA Hard drive on a ATA mobo

I recently helped my friend purchase new parts for his old computer, but I made the mistake of choosing a SATA Hard drive when his mobo only supports ATA133 devices. Do you guys know if theres some wire or adapter that can make the HD I bought run with the mobo?

Buy a SATA controller card that fits a pci slot.

^ That's the only way I know of.

Now if you had an IDE HDD you wanted to connect to the SATA interface on a mobo, you CAN get an adapter for that. But never seen it go the other way around (like you need).
