Help with Samsung 900NF!!!

I just set up my new 900NF and to be honest, it looks a little blurry. I tried poking around with the settings, but something just doesn't seem right? Can someone please help me? I reasearched for hours over which monitor to get and I thought that I'd made the right decision. Maybe I'm just missing something here.

First try the SAmsung site and see if they offer drivers for that monitor.
Second look in settings for a MOIRE setting and make sure it is down to 0%.
Third, move the monitor and look for electromagnetic sources near the sides of the monitor.
Is it constant blurry or going in and out?
If it is brand new, run that monitor for a while. Sometimes new monitors have to align themselves and they do weird things in the first couple of days.
If it can't be corrected soon, it's probably time to RMA.
Here's the link directly to the driver site. Just choose your Operating system.

Anyone else? It seems to be a little blurry all over. I partially corrected the blurriness in the lower right corner, but I can't seem to do anything about the rest. Would it do any good if I took a screenshot and posted it?

Is it warmed up? Did you instal the driver(not that that should make a huge difference)?

it took mine awhile to get all sharp. Just run it for awhile. It was blurry for me once, i deguassed and all was fine again. Also what resolution are you running at?

Adjust the focus and purity settings...and turn down the brightness to like 45-50 and contrast to 100.

What res are you running at? The recommended res is 1280x1024 @ 85Hz.
Have you degaussed it?
Check for any electromagenetic devices near the monitor.

Mine was fine when I got it. Samsung has a pretty good rep for quality but every now and again a defective one squeeks through. Try it for a few days and see what happens. If it's still blurry then RMA it.

Thanks for the advice guys, I left it on overnight and it seems to be ok now. I think the problem is that when I originally viewed it, I had been awake for 30 hours, so my vision wasn't exactly top notch anyway. Then, when I had slept, I was already biased when looking at it. I think it should be fine now.

Do they pay the shipping charges when you RMA it? I have a 955DF and the top left is darker and there are white lines across the screen at the border of every picture. 😕

Doctor? year right. 😛

I can see the bright lines clearly unless I turn the brightness to the maximum. Do they pay for the RMA or you have to pay for it yourself??

You're kidding me right? Not only would that cost around $30+ but it's not your fault the product didn't work as advertised. I could understand if it was a small hard drive or something.

I got the monitor from the Gateway promotion thingy over at the hot deals forum. You can see shades of white color align with with the picture or tect all the way to the right of the monitor. Not very satisfied with it.

So it's from NECXDirect then? I called them up before I ordered mine and if the product is defective they cover the RMA shipping cost. Good luck!

It is probably misconvergence, and can be easily adjusted with the OSD.
You can tell if it is so, by looking closely at a line.

I'll use white for an example. With white, you should not see any other colors around the edges, such as green or red/orange. If you see white in the middle, and some other colours around the edges, it's certainly misconvergence.

There are 2 types - horizontal and vertical. It should be easy to tell which kind to adjust.
