Help with router?

Hi, I have turned to the helpful people at anandtech forums once again for a question I have. If I get a cable router to share my broadband access among two computers rather than one that I have now, what cables will I need? that is all, thank you!
Here is the router
PS: Do I need any special cards for my mac or pc? Each already have an ethernet card. Is this all I need? It is what I am using now, with no router, so I would imagine so, but cant be sure. Any difference with the mac?

1) Buy a Network card for both computers ..I like D-link 530 TX cost 17.50
2)Will Need to RJ-45 CAT 5 Network Cables

Woah...you are trying to connect a MAC and a PC?

Ausm<---Don't know crap about Macs 🙂

thankyou!!!
so the ethernet cards won't work? I can't just run ethernet cables to the router from mac and pc?
how about if I got a few of these: Card

The NIC you're looking at will work fine for a PC. For a Mac, depending on how new it is (G3, G4, etc) it may have Ethernet built in. If not, I think you may be able to get a card that will work for it... Asante makes one I know for sure, go here for more info. Be careful there, they mix their Mac and PC stuff together, so watch which category you end up in... 🙂

They actually both already have ethernet cards, as I believe I mentioned originally. Will these hook up to the router fine?
Thanks 🙂

okay, okay, sorry to take up space on the forum with my questions, but I just want to be sure before making any $100+ purchases. Right now I have a cable going from my computer's ethernet port to the cable modem. This would be an ethernet cable?
with the router, would I remove the ethernet cable from the back of my pc and put it into the back of the router?
I would then need two more cables(and now I am confusing myself, because I am using the term ethernet cable, which perhaps is wrong? and I was told to get a cat5 cable), of some type, which would go from each computer's ethernet port to the front of the router?
Thanks for clearing this up!:}

Okay, thanks. I finally figured out that I need rj45 to ethernet cables, and a cable to go between the router and my cable modem for a WAN. What would this cable be?
And where would I find rj45 to ethernet cables? Thank you! (if I knew how to draw a confused smiley, I would! 😉)
