Okay, first stop laughing! I've got an eMachines W2888 that had a bad PSU and Mobo, replaced the PSU and still need a mobo. Its a 2.8 GHz Celeron socket 478 and I'm looking for a replacemet ( but not an eMachines 'cause their crap ). I've looked at the Egg and ZZF but does anyone know of a good cheap socket 478 mATX board I can drop in to get it working? I'm not looking to buy a new computer now so any help is very much appreciated.

Socket 478 is dead as far as new motherboards are concerned. There may be a BIOSTAR P4VM900 still around, but that's going to be it. Otherwise, try Ebay or surplus market.

Computer geeks and compuvest have 478 boards. I suggest an 865 chipset.
