Help with reinstallation

First time poster, but lurk occasionally and hope someone can help. Recently lost my old rig to lightning strike. My HD survived and I put it into the new box without a hitch. Old OS was Win 98, now have XP. Wondering if there is a way to move Word over to new HD as it won't work when try to run the .exe on the old disk which is now drive D:. And no I don't have the disks to reinstall as they were from an old job where we just checked them out to install them on home rigs and then returned the disks.
