Help with ram settings

Hello there, here are my PC specs before we get started:

ABIT IN9 32X-MAX nForce 680i
Q6600 @ 3.0ghz
CORSAIR XMS2 (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
XFX 9800 GTX+ 512mb
800 Watt PSU

I am having trouble figuring something out, or I'm misunderstanding something.
In my BIOS, it says "Estimated DDR2 Rate - 533" but the ram I have is DDR2 800.
My timings are 5-5-5-15.
Shouldn't I be able to run it higher? I have my CPU overclocked to 3ghz, and when I was first attempting to overclock it, I was using the following settings:

FSB 1333 x 9, and I tried it with 667 for my ram. It never seemed to work, so I just put the ram to default and now it's running fine. The overclocking guide I followed said to use 667 for my ram, and it never worked.

Is there something wrong here? Am I getting the full potential of my ram? Any settings I can try changing to help?
