I have just created a 2 GB RAM drive and was wondering if someone could help me with a few things.
My configuration:
i7-3517U Processor, 8GB DDR 3 1600 Mhz RAM, 256 GB SSD, Nvidia GeForce GT 630M 2GB card etc.
Query: I have already set my Chrome cache and Windows temp files (will this result in errors?) on the RAM drive. Is there anything else that I can put on the RAM drive and not get errors or conflicts? In case someone is able to give a solid tip; please also give the steps as I'm not exactly an IT expert.
PS: I'm running Windows 8 (basic version not PRO), I will mostly run Ableton Live and Native Instruments Traktor software on the system, I wanna save needless writes on my SSD and I don't want to configure the RAM drive for games (since I don't play any).
