Both master, basically the jumpers are useless on SATA and are only there because the drive is based on an ATA model.

Master, Master... when you boot into the RAID setup screen you'll have access to the RAID options. Pretty much self explanatory. If you can spare the space I would really consider RAID 1 also. Pretty much same write speeds just slower read speeds but at least safer for you unless you have a backup in place...

who's got money for RAID 1? I cant afford to buy a drive and not get any space because of it. Raid 0, or if you've got cash to blow and your data is sensitive then go RAID 5, that way you get 2/3's of your drive sace instead of 1/2 with type 1.

yes like he said, master master, then you have to create the array in your raid bios. keep your stripe size small unless your doing huge reads. you'll usually get higher speeds. but it's simply a matter of preference depending on usage. you should probly read up on it before you go off striping, since the only way to change it is a re-stripe, and itwill erase every thing(think reformat)

there some stuff in the anandtech faq's, also check out storage review on the web

It doesn't cost you anymore "money" to do RAID 1 just space... for some it'll cost much more to lose your data then to lose space.
