Help with Radeon VE

I have had this Radeon VE for several months now. Recently ive been totally locking up when i play counter-strike. The computer totally freezes and i have to hit the reset button. Its getting annoying so i reformated my computer. Still had the problem. All my drivers are up to date, even my VIA 4in1 drivers are updated and its still locking up. Can anyone help me? It would be appreciated.

Im running windows 98 se, DFI AK74sc mobo, 128 stick of pc 100, radeon ve
 
Don't update your via4in1 too often, especially be careful with those beta version.

you may need to set your bios to default and try again.
