Help with Radeon 9000 driver installation!

I just got an OEM Radeon 9000 128mb. I'm going from a GeForce 2MX 32mb to a Radeon 9000 128mb. I tried to install the latest Catalyst driver from the website, but I got an error message saying "SURegCreateKey failed!". I was able to get around the problem by installing the display adapter by deleting the default display adapter from the System control panel and restarting. From there, I was able to install the display adapter from the driver CD when the hardware wizard asked for a display adapter driver. Everything is working fine now, but, what I'm worried about is that I won't be able to install future Catalyst updates because I'll keep getting the error message. Does anyone have a solution?

Well, I did find an awkward walkaround. Let the the instal package decompress, get the error message, manually install via device manager. If anyone has a more elegant way to make it work, let me know.
