I have 2 computers. One computer (I'll refer to it as the gateway comp) has the direct connection to the cable modem and the other computer ( the client comp) uses the gateway comp to access the internet.
I'm using Browsegate 3, which uses a socks5 proxy as well as an HTTP proxy.
I have gotten the HTTP proxy working fine; the client comp and surf the internet and download things with no problem.
What doesn't work is my FTP server and my FTP client.
FlashFXP (my ftp client) always gives this error: SOCKS error: Host unreachable.
That error comes up after FlashFXP sends the PASV command.
I use G6 FTP server and no one can connect to it. I have it listening to port 21, the default ftp port. Does my FTP server have anything to do with the SOCKS5 or HTTP proxies? Browsegate 3 has a built in firewall, but I have disabled it's port blocking for port 21. I used www.grc.com to check my ports and it says port 21 is closed, even though I disabled the port 21 blocking in Browsegate 3. Please help!
