just got the powmax CP769L-6 from newegg.

i am trying to install the abit an7 but i cant get the face plate that came with mobo into the case (i need to change the face as the one that came installed with the case does not match the outputs on the mobo). the powmax website does not have this case listed, not sure esp. when they have CP769L-[1-5] listed...

is it ok to install the mobo w/o the back plate? what else can i do? do i have to get a new case?

You can use it without the I/O Shield, you will get a little more dust or something in there and that's about it. I don't see why it wouldn't fit though....they should all be standard.

thanks for the reply... the back plate that came with the powmax was attached to the case itself... the kind where u bend and pull/break it out...

the one that came with the mobo has ridges, so that it can fit into something... not sure if thats why its not goign to fit in or what

but its a relief to know that its not much of a hassle other than dust.. co zi am going to get a new case in a few months
