Specs:XP2200, MSI KT4AV-L MB, 256mb 3200 Corsair memory, SB Live! Value sound, 350watt ps, ATI 9000 Radeon 64mb. I have a "shaking" screen that began to occur today. The only way to make it stop is to set refresh rate to 60hz. I had been running 1024x768x85hz with no probs for both desktop and gaming(RainbowSix) apps.Shaking exist regardless of resolution change unless refreshis set down to 60 hz. I swapped my monitor(Viewsonic P95f) out with another monitor on a Compaq PC, a fairly old pc, I was able to run my monitor @800x600x85hz with no probs. The compaq monitor exhibited the same "shakiness" when hooked to the XP2200 pc.
Can I assume this is a video card problem? The card is 10 months old, is this as simple as getting the card swapped out for a new one, or is there likely another cause for the screen probs? Thanks in advance for the advice!!
