Help with PNY 6800gt?

Hi all, i've recently brought a PNY 6800gt due to it being cheap, i've got it installed, and everythings running fine, but after running 3D Mark '05 i'm not getting the kind of score which i'm seeing other people have posted (after updating to Forceware 76.44 I scored 4718, which is good, but not as good as other peoples 5000+ scores i've been seeing). Am I doing something wrong? If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated! Thanks 🙂

I run the 71.84's The 71.89's were released today though.

I haven't run any sort of 3dmark program in a few months so I really have no idea what driver scores best on it.

Your PC2700 ram and your intel proc is what is keeping you back

that also could be a bit of a problem but should be MUCH of a issues with 3dmark05. 03 it will matter a little bit more.

Yeah, I was thinking that the RAM could be holding me back, if I brought some more 2700 RAM, do you think that would help, or would it just be worth buying a quicker speed? Thanks for the help so far guys 😉

i think you should sell your PC2700 ram and go on up to PC3200

Yeah.

My rig gets into the 5000s, so yours should be able to as well without much problem. But then again, I think your 2700 is definatly holding you back.
