help with plextor PX- 32TSI OR 32X ULTRAPLEX

WHEN I WAS TRYING TO MAKE MY CREATIVE WRITTER A PLEXTOR I FORGOT TO UNPLUG MY READER AND MY 32X CD PLEXTOR READER GOT ID CHANGED TO A A WRITTER AND IT WON´T WORK AS IT SHOULD BE
HOW CAN I CHANGED IT TO A READER

The px-32tsi doesnt have a flash function. The bios in that cd'rom is hard. I asked plextor europe about any firmware upgrades 1.5 year ago, and he asked for my adress. So he sent a completely new bios chip to me. But I didn't notice any differences with it.
