Help with perpetual lock up and windows xp.

I used UBCD (ultimate boot cd) and ran memtest86 and the quanta hard disk tool, both came up as the hardware was fine. But windows will reboot the computer under every different loading option, no matter what. It also will not load the windows setup from the windows xp cd. It locks at "Setup is starting Windows" after it has gone through and loaded all the drivers.

Could this be a CPU issue? it doesnt blue screen when trying to load the setup from the cd, it just hangs.

Thanks!

Might try fixing your MBR, I am unsure if this would affect the cd loading though. Try to borrow someone else's cd to see if theirs works. If nothing else you might have to reload your system.🙁
