I had decided on an ASUS M6N notebook, but, while waiting for May 10th and the Dothan release, I decided to re-evaluate my needs.
My top priorities are:
1.) BEST POSSIBLE DISPLAY (not necessarily top video card). NOT a display like the SONY XBrite with the reflective suface!! I don't want the glare and reflection. Otherwise, just the best contrast ratio and viewing angle available (not the highest resolution, my eyes don't need it.)
2.) BEST POSSIBLE BUILD QUALITY, and components.
So, anyway, I have it down to the:
1.) ASUS M6N, available as many "whitebox" units. A nice notebook 15.1" or 15.4"
2.) HP nc8000 15.1"
3.) HP nc6000 14.1"
4.) IBM T41p 14.1"
Your comments on any/all of these units MORE than welcome.
The only issues I am aware of are that the trackpad on the nc8000 may not be the best. Not sure on that either.
PLEASE ADVISE and comment!!!
